About Me

My Approach

I know from my own experience that therapy can be a profound vehicle for change when it is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect. I am genuinely interested in supporting others on their journey, and find it a real privilege to do this kind of work with people. It’s always interesting, engaging, challenging and often deeply rewarding.

My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I draw from a variety of orientations; for me this is primarily the Humanistic/Existential tradition and third wave CBT i.e. mindfulness-based approaches, such as ACT and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

Mindfulness meditation is one of single most profound things I have come across in my life, as a systematic method of inquiry, as a spiritual discipline, as a method of introspection, as a technique for self regulation and healing, ultimately it has become is a guiding ethic and a way of life. I have about 15 years of experience practising; in that time I have taken many courses on different aspects of meditation and mindfulness. I continue to spend a lot of time developing and deepening my own personal practise, including spending regular time on intensive silent retreat. This experience has been formative, it influences my way of being with others, and how I understand growth, healing, and human flourishing.
